Studying on campus

Study and quiet spaces

AMBS has a wide range of study zones, quiet areas, and break-out spaces designed for every student - no matter your learning style.

The Eddie Davies Library is at the centre of AMBS. It has individual study pods, group study rooms, shared desks, and comfortable chairs - all of which comes with a great view of the bustling Oxford Road. Here, you'll find all the business textbooks and materials you need throughout your studies.

Just a short walk away, you'll find the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons, which is open 24/7 during term time. You can even explore the Main Library at the University - the UK's largest single-site academic library.

Across all our study spaces, friendly staff are on hand to help.

Dining and social areas

There are three catering outlets within the AMBS building: The Mill restaurant and event space, Café 65, and The Hive Café. All our cafes provide a range of diverse dining options and social spaces for both students and staff.

AMBS also sits on the popular University Green, a retail and leisure hub featuring shops, bars and restaurants such as:

  • Blackwell's University Bookshop and Café Nero
  • Co-op
  • Bold Street Coffee
  • Pret A Manger
  • Navarro Lounge
  • Yi Fang Fruit Tea
  • Five Guys
  • Brew Dog
