Ken McPhail became Head of Alliance MBS in August 2023.
About Ken McPhail
Ken was previously Deputy Head and Research Director at Alliance Manchester Business School. His previous roles include:
- Vice Dean for Social Responsibility, Faculty of Humanities, The University of Manchester
- Head of School at La Trobe University Melbourne, Australia
- Director of Undergraduate Studies and The Scottish Centre for Professional Ethics at the University of Glasgow.
Education
Ken has a PhD from the University of Dundee and a MA (Honours) in Accountancy & Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University.
Research interests
Ken's work is focused on various aspects of accounting ethics and corporate accountability, such as:
- The changing role of corporations in society and the systems of accountability that emerge in relation to these roles
- The emerging trend of human rights and responsibilities of companies.
