Something I like about Manchester is the people to be honest. I found them to be amazing.
The most common words used in Manchester according to me would be ‘Sorry’ or ‘Thank you’. Which actually was contrary to what others had told me back in India. They said that people were very rude. As Britain itself does not have a youthful population, the majority of this country is in the higher age category. Hence, it needs to be kind to people from outside who are coming to work and study.
Another thing I love about Manchester is the Oxford Road and how the campus is spread around the road. It is easy to commute and also very aesthetic. It takes me around 15 mins to get to University and 20 mins on the worst days. I also bought a cycle so my travel time was reduced to 5 minutes. The city is filled with students everywhere. It is lively and makes you feel safe with people of the same age around you. During weekends we would find young people walking on the oxford road going and coming from parties all through the night. Most of the nightclubs are just around the corner hardly 30 -45 mins by walk from most areas or a short and easy bus ride. One thing I enjoy about Manchester is my University building as it's so modern and just the latest out of all the University buildings - Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS). The city centre is an amazing place for everyone to shop and enjoy themselves. There are enough stores from all price and quality categories to have a great experience. We have a Vue Cinema which is in the Printworks in the city centre again. They have listings of all the latest movies. There are live shows at The Palace Theatre as well which is on Oxford Road.
Yet the best part about Manchester is my sweet little house with my backyard and my lovely friends. We have a great time and we will cherish it for the rest of our lives.
