About the conference

The BMCFC Annual Corporate Finance Conference series was inaugurated in 2012, supported by a large grant from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and hosted by the Accounting and Finance Division and the Centre for the Analysis of Investment Risk (CAIR) at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. Initially established by two partner institutions, the University of Manchester and the University of Bristol, the conference has since expanded to include four esteemed partners: the University of Manchester, the University of Bristol, the University of Exeter, and Lancaster University.

Over the past decade, the Annual Corporate Finance Conference series has consistently attracted and presented cutting-edge research and eminent scholars in corporate finance from around the world. Papers presented at the conference have been published in world-renowned and highly respected academic journals. The conference series is a vital component of the division’s research environment and has established itself as a prominent national and international platform for academic exchange, the dissemination of research findings, and the sharing of cutting-edge business insights. Furthermore, the sessions have provided invaluable opportunities for junior researchers to present their work and engage with the broader professional community.

Mission Statement: To convene the world's foremost corporate finance researchers, fostering the highest quality of academic discourse and collaboration.
