Are you a leader in health and social care looking to take on a more senior role and have a wider impact within your organisation?

Do you aspire to lead larger functions, manage complex projects, and inspire other team leaders to challenge the status quo?

Join us for an information session on the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Senior Leader Apprenticeship, designed for aspiring and existing leaders who want to develop their skills, confidence, and influence in senior leadership roles.

During the session, you'll learn:

  • How the apprenticeship integrates real-world leadership experience with practical application to help you lead with confidence
  • How you can earn an NHS Leadership Academy Award in Senior Healthcare Leadership and, upon completion, progress to a Masters in Healthcare Leadership (MSc)
  • About the programme content and how it's structured to meet the demands of senior leadership roles - enabling you to manage larger teams, lead complex projects, and foster innovation.
  • The benefits of fully funding the programme via the apprenticeship levy, making this prestigious qualification accessible to leaders across clinical and non-clinical roles.

About the EGA Senior Leader Apprenticeship

Since 2013, over 2,500 leaders within the NHS have participated in the EGA standard pathway. 65% of participants reported that they have been promoted during the programme, and of these, 87% attributed their promotion to the programme.

The funded EGA Senior Leader Apprenticeship provides an alternative pathway. It builds on the success of the existing programme and incorporates the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a senior leader apprenticeship award.

Applications for the London-based May 2025 cohort will open on 28 October 2024. Space on the programme is limited - places are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
