The World Health Organization tells us that our most pressing health challenge is not any one individual disease, but the unequal way in which people are born, grow, live, work and age.
We need to think differently about how to design and deliver health and care services to meet the global challenge of reducing health inequalities.
Join us in welcoming prominent businessman, philanthropist and Honorary Professor of Translational Medicine Dr Gerald Chan as he shares his perspective on how innovation and improvement can drive progress in reducing health inequalities.
Hosted by our President and Vice Chancellor, Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, we will explore the impact of health inequalities on deprived and under-served populations, and hear from Dr Chan on how advances in technology, innovation and digital can drive progress on a global scale. Dr Chan’s talk will be followed by an audience Q&A.
