This month's event will take place at the Generator, where we will hear from Enterprise Officer Gaelle Ayamou.

Gaelle Ayamou

Gaelle works as an Enterprise Officer at the Generator, where she contributes to supporting pre-start and early-stage businesses based in Greater Manchester.

Her interest in the business world deepened during her master's studies in Business Journalism. Through exploring the stories of various businesses and entrepreneurs, she developed a strong commitment to starting her own ventures.

She co-founded two social enterprises in China that focused on promoting economic opportunities for women and supporting young professionals and entrepreneurs, before the Covid pandemic hit.

In addition to these two initiatives, her experience in leading student societies furthered her understanding of the importance of community and the need for support systems to promote growth, both for businesses and for individuals. That's why she is happy to be involved in a project like the Generator.

Gaelle holds a master's degree in business journalism and a PhD in Journalism and Communication. Her academic background includes research on media's role in shaping perceptions, Chinese media expansion, Africa-China media relations, and the impact of AI on the way we live and work, especially the ethical implications in the field of journalism.
