This month we will hear from Carla Stockton-Jones, UK Managing Director for Stagecoach.
Carla Stockton-Jones
Stagecoach is the UK’s biggest bus and coach operator with over 24,000 employees running over 8,500 buses and coaches for around two million customers every day. In joining Stagecoach, Carla became the first female to head up a major private sector multi-modal public transport operation in the UK.
Carla joined Stagecoach Group in February 2020, a few weeks before the Covid-19 pandemic and led the team through the pandemic, keeping the public on the move and protecting the safety of employees right across the country. She has over 20 years experience spanning FMCG, Retail, Media, Tech and Transport within agency and corporate environments. Prior to joining Stagecoach, she was UK Home Service Director for Sky and Group Operations Director at Field Marketing agency Channel Advantage.
Carla was included in the 2021 Role Model for Inclusion Index arranged by Women in Hospitality, Transport & Leisure (WiHTL). The Role Models for Inclusion Index showcases women distinguished for their commercial and operational excellence, industry/social impact, and commitment to the industry, despite challenging times.
Carla is a Chair of the Network of Women of Irish Heritage and Yorkshire Board Member of Maggie’s.
