About Patricia Harrison
Gift of a Wedding not only became a success in the UK but has become the most successful charity of it's kind in the world. As the UK wedding industry's 'charity of choice' it has also become one of the UK medical profession's most respected charities.
In 2012, with no money or volunteers but a determination to use her wedding planning skills and gift of the gab, she set up the charity. Since then together with her hard working team of volunteers built up over the years, they have fulfilled over 300 urgent wedding dreams for people with terminal or life limiting illnesses living in the UK.
Patricia was an insurance Loss Adjuster until 2006. Having planned weddings and events for most of her adult life she decided to open her wedding planning and education business in 2007.
Patricia now spends most of her time improving the charity as she serves as the charity's CEO and chair of the board.
