Why did you choose to study this Masters course at Alliance MBS?
I chose the MSc Management course as I wanted to enhance my knowledge in this specific field and this was an exact fit with my interests. This course offers a wide range of units covering different business areas. In addition, the business project (during the third semester) is a valuable opportunity to practice the academic knowledge on real business projects reflecting on everyday challenges faced by managers. Finally, it gives the opportunity to learn important skills, study in world-class facilities and meet other people with the same interests, which are important for my future career. The MSc Management will enable you to develop the necessary skills to foster different ways of thinking, different ways of viewing and understanding organisations.
What were you doing before your MSc?
I was studying for an undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Ioannina, in Greece.
What are your career plans after graduation?
I am going to either further my knowledge with a PhD in order to gain deeper and more specialised knowledge in a specific business field, or try to find a challenging job position so as to apply my academic knowledge into real business projects in a leading organisation. I believe that during the MSc Management course I am going to acquire useful skills that are going to help me with my future career.

How much time do you spend in classes and in private study?
I spend approximately 12 hours per week in classes, both lectures and seminars. The time I spend in private study depends on the subject matter and whether I have to be prepared for an assessment or not. It is at least 12 hours per week and on average about 20 hours per week.
How would you describe your student experience so far?
It is a great experience studying here. I enhance my knowledge and I either acquire new useful skills or sharpen my skills. I have access to a great amount of knowledge and I am trying to get the most out of it. I have already met new people from other cultures and communicate effectively with them.
What’s the best thing about living in Manchester?
Manchester is a vibrant city. It has lots of opportunities for its residents and especially students. People here are friendly and willing to help the students. It offers a variety of museums, galleries, theatres, live music shows etc. and the countryside is close enough for day-long trips. Through its airport you can visit other cities and countries, too. Finally, it is the home of 2 world famous football clubs and it is a city that promotes sports. I like the architecture, the structure of the buildings, the red coloured bricks and the canals.
What advice would you give to those considering studying at Alliance MBS?
Alliance MBS is a high class school that offers high quality of education and lots of opportunities to its students. So, definitely, you have to think about applying to study here.
What was your experience of the Brathay residential session?
We had the chance to meet the other MSc Management students and spend some quality time together. Specifically, we had the chance to build effective relationships based on trust and understanding while taking part in different activities as a team. This enhanced our cooperation and communication skills and learned how to achieve the desired outcomes through group working. In Brathay we made new friends!
