Alliance MBS has been ranked amongst the best business schools in the UK, according to new rankings results.
The Eduniversal Business School Rankings 2016 placed AMBS 6th out of 154 business schools in the UK and 1stin the North West and awarded the School a maximum five out of five for global influence.
The entire 2016 shortlist looks at the world’s 1,000 best business schools based on accreditations, position in other major rankings and the opinion of other business school deans.
Each dean’s vote was transformed into a recommendation rate (‰) that students and other actors in the academic world can use to evaluate and compare the different academic institutions selected by Eduniversal.
Professor Fiona Devine, Head of Alliance Manchester Business School, said: “We are once again pleased with the results of Eduniversal rankings, not least because the results are based on that of our peers. We’re extremely proud of the incredible teaching, research and academic success that Alliance MBS students and lecturers achieve on a regular basis.”
The 1,000 business schools in the Official Eduniversal Selection are selected by the International Scientific Committee, composed of nine independent academic experts recognized in their geographical zone, after careful evaluation. The objective is to establish a global mapping that considers the international influence and reputation of each selected institution.
A major contributor to the success of Alliance Manchester Business School has been the support of Lord Alliance of Manchester and Trustees of the Alliance Family Foundation, who provided a landmark £15m donation in 2014 to be invested in new buildings and to drive the business school’s research agenda.
