AMBS Case Interview Competition 2025: Full-time MBA students hone their case interview skills

On 31st January our Postgraduate Careers Service hosted the final of our MBA Case Interview Competition, proudly supported by our new sponsors this year, Curzon Consulting.

The competition has now been running for 9 years and aims to help our Full-time MBA students hone their case cracking skills, while giving them even more opportunities to engage the external market.

Launched in October 2024, the competition featured monthly preparation sessions led by our alumni from Curzon Consulting - Sarbo Saha, Aziz Yuldashev and Virginia Arguelles. They generously shared their expertise and guided our students through the intricacies of case interviews.

Our sponsors and alumni took a very active role throughout, bringing a new dimension to the competition.

During the preliminary rounds, 14 teams, each composed of four students, tackled individual case interviews, judged by our final-year MBA students.

The top four teams then advanced to the final, where they faced another round of individual case interviews before presenting a group case to our panel of alumni judges: Sarbo, Aziz, Laura Mace and Nkem Igwe.

A huge thank you to all our judges for their invaluable support throughout the competition.

Congratulations to all our finalists, and a special well done to our winning team, 'Case Closed' (pictured below): Arpit Verma, Armaan Sattikar, Nondini Dhawan and Roshan Raghavan.

Invaluable insight into the consulting industry

Following the final, our competition sponsors shared their thoughts: "Curzon Consulting are proud and honoured to sponsor the Competition in 2025.

"The 16 finalists all showcased their problem-solving skills, both individually and in the team presentations, with the winning team doing an outstanding job of cracking a very challenging case.

"The competition provides students with a firsthand experience of the intensity, challenges, and rewards of real-world consulting projects. It offers a valuable opportunity for them to develop their problem-solving skills and gain insight into the consulting industry.

"The high calibre of the participants in this year's competition reflects the quality and robustness of the programme, and we are proud to have a strong and deep relationship with a school that produces such talented students.

"Heartfelt congratulations again to this year’s winners, Team 'Case Closed', from everyone at Curzon Consulting."

AMBS would like to thank Curzon Consulting for their support and generosity in sponsoring this year’s competition. We send congratulations to our finalists and winning team on their fantastic achievements.
