New partnership to empower high-potential leaders with the leadership capabilities to navigate the complexities of today’s business landscape and contribute to the growth and success of Chiesi.
The Chiesi Development Programme is a bespoke programme specifically designed to nurture the personal and professional growth of Chiesi's high-potential leaders. The programme was designed in collaboration between Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) and Chiesi, a global biopharmaceutical company and certified B Corporation committed to driving positive social and environmental impact.
The comprehensive 12-month programme aims to equip Chiesi's high-potential leaders with the vital knowledge and leadership capabilities to empower them to contribute significantly to the continued success and growth of Chiesi. Delegates are from various functions across Chiesi's UK team including sales, marketing, medical, and operations.
Sara Russell, Associate Director for Custom Programmes at AMBS and Programme Director, said: "We are really proud to partner with Chiesi on this exciting leadership development programme. The programme not only addresses key business challenges but also aligns with Chiesi's mission to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.
"By integrating leadership development with real-world business challenges, we are helping to shape leaders who are not only effective but also purpose-driven and aligned with Chiesi's mission to make a positive impact."
About the programme
The programme is aligned with Chiesi's mission to maintain a high-quality entrepreneurial team, characterised by self-confidence and a collaborative spirit.
The programme's content is meticulously designed to offer a broader appreciation of the key challenges faced by different areas of the business. By fostering a more holistic approach to each delegates' role and specific business function, the programme equips them with the skills needed to navigate the complexities of modern business management.
Darren Winsor, Training Manager at Chiesi, said: "It was evident from our early interactions with the team at AMBS that they really understood our objectives for our development programme. We wanted to offer our employees an opportunity to gain a range of learning from key topics which we believe will provide a strong basis for not only their current role, but for their future career within Chiesi.
"Each of the modules offer a unique insight into the challenges faced in today's commercial world. Placing our employees on such a programme to gain knowledge from leading experts from within each of their fields, will support the growth and success of Chiesi through our continued investment in our people."
Multi-disciplinary learning
The programme will be delivered by world-leading academics from AMBS, and is structured around eight core modules, covering critical topics such as:
- Leadership development
- Digitisation
- Finance
- Sustainability
- Communication.
This multi-disciplinary approach ensures that delegates gain a comprehensive understanding of effective and sustainable business practices.
The programme includes online masterclasses and self-led, applied business challenge work. These components are designed to support the transfer of knowledge and skills, enabling delegates to apply what they learn directly to their roles within Chiesi.
The Chiesi Development Programme also offers an opportunity for delegates to engage in business-critical assignments. This exposure not only broadens their understanding of the organisation's operations, but facilitates the creation of new networks and development opportunities within Chiesi.
