Elle Perschke, who headed a successful Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Alliance MBS and British Salt, has been shortlisted at a major national awards for her contribution to the project.
Elle is a finalist in the Future Innovator category at the KTP Best of the Best Awards which shine a spotlight on some of the very best KTP partnerships across the country.
After completing a Masters in Marketing at Alliance MBS, Elle was appointed Brand Development Manager at Tata Chemicals Europe, owner of British Salt which produces around half of the UK’s pure salt from its factory in Middlewich, Cheshire.
The company was keen to launch a salt product fortified with iodine and turned to academics at Alliance MBS to help research the market and wider attitudes towards the product. As such it began a KTP with the specific end aim of launching a salt product in the retail market, and Elle was appointed KTP associate to run the project.
The Future Innovator award is given to a KTP associate who has “demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, above and beyond the normal expectations of a KTP Associate”. Elle was specifically shortlisted for creating and adopting a B2C marketing strategy for a B2B business, and then launching a new product into the consumer market.
Said Elle: “I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with some brilliant people on this incredible project and am now looking forward to the awards ceremony later this year.”
The winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony in September.
