The Middle East Centre hosted a special celebratory breakfast networking event in Dubai to mark the 50th anniversary of the school, in the presence of the Head of School, Professor Fiona Devine.
The high-level event, which combined networking, presentations and a panel discussion on the outlook for the global, regional and local economies, included a presentation by Professor Devine on the 50th anniversary and the School’s future plans.
Alumnus Rajesh Garg, COO of leading Middle East retail group, Landmark, shared his personal and professional transformation story. Presenters and panellists included representatives from partners, Emerging Markets Intelligence & Research and The Business Year, as well as The Economist and Aon Hewitt.
Notable among the many senior attendees were representatives from the Knowledge & Human Development Authority and Dubai Knowledge Village, as well as other public and private sector organisations. Amin Alkholy, Chief Investment Officer, Asset Management, Arqaam Capital – and a prominent Manchester MBA and school ambassador – was the MC for the event. The occasion concluded with remarks from Randa Bessiso, MBS Middle East Director, and rounded off with a cake-cutting ceremony for the team.
The 50th anniversary event took place on 17th November 2015, at the Sofitel Dubai The Palm, Dubai.
