Customised Programmes

We combine our academic expertise with your business knowledge to create flexible learning experiences that transform organisations and impact society.

At Alliance Manchester Business School, we draw on over 50 years of internationally renowned business research and industry experience to develop innovative, practical, and experiential programmes that address business-specific challenges.

Our programmes are designed to empower delegates with the knowledge and skills to do things differently, creating high-value leaders, shaping business strategy, and driving organisational success.

From leadership succession planning to the implementation of large-scale change, we work with a wide range of organisations to define their exact training and development needs to achieve the right solution.

Design and development

Manchester Approach

Customised design at Alliance Manchester Business School involves creating an illustrative design based on our initial understanding of our clients' requirements. To move from illustrative to definitive, we adopt a tried and tested 'Manchester Approach' to programme development:

Problem identification: we identify the challenges faced by your organisation and explore ways to improve organisational performance.

Needs assessment: in collaboration with you we define the target audience, identify the specific gaps or challenges that the learners currently face and determine the root causes.

Outline design: we set out a high-level (conceptual) programme structure, learning journey logic, workshop content and learning approaches taking diversity into account.

Detailed design and development: design teams from AMBS meet with you, your subject matter experts and learners to determine individual and organisational level objectives, programme materials and supporting infrastructure (e.g. workshop content, case studies, exercises or simulations).

Delivery: we incorporate a mix of text, visuals, videos, interactive elements, and assessments to cater to different learning styles, with an emphasis on applied, action-orientated approaches.

Evaluation and feedback: we measure the success of the programme by evaluating objectives, and gather feedback from participants, instructors, and other stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement.

Develop relationships: we focus on building relationships that provide solutions to your current and future challenges.

Learning approach

Manchester Method

Each programme is designed by our experts to support delegates’ learning styles. From interactive workshops, delegate-led seminars and coaching to our virtual learning environment, our team will work with you to understand your people and choose the most appropriate methods to ensure everyone gets the most from the Alliance Manchester Business School experience.

You can choose to base your programme at our custom-built centre – a dedicated space for our clients. Our Executive Education Centre is located opposite Alliance Manchester Business School at the heart of the University of Manchester campus and offers modern, flexible teaching spaces that can accommodate up to 120 people, a translation booth, and direct access to the 4* Hyatt Regency and Hyatt House Hotel (where standardised rates are available for our Executive Education clients).

Alternatively, we can deliver your programme at a location to suit your company’s needs.

We loved the collaboration we got with the Business School. They've worked really closely with us to understand our business and the challenges that we face.
