Professional accounting accreditation
Accredited courses count towards professional qualifications, making you more attractive to graduate employers. Selected individual course units are accredited by professional accounting bodies for the purpose of exemptions from professional examinations. The total number of exemptions you are eligible for depends on the core and optional course units you study and which professional body you decide to join.
For more information about the maximum exemptions available to students on each of our degree programmes, visit our online undergraduate handbook or select the relevant professional body below:
BSc Accounting students who complete a work placement as part of their programme can opt to complete additional professional examinations during their placement
“I will be working with a variety of clients and gaining a strong understanding of multiple businesses and how they operate, testing whether the financial statements prepared by the client are true and fair. I will also begin to study towards becoming a chartered accountant by completing a number of ACA examinations.”
Triple-crown accreditation
Alliance MBS has gained the rare gold standard of triple-crown accreditation from AACSB International, AMBA and EQUIS – so you know that your business education is in good hands.
“I chose BSc Accounting because it was one of the few courses that were affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Accountancy in England & Wales (ICAEW). It also included practical experience through a work placement which increased my chances of securing a graduate job. Moreover, the course offered eight exemptions from ICAEW ACA professional qualifications.”
