Making Room for Dads

Welcome to the Making Room for Dads  project website. Here you will find details of a research project, led by Dr Emma Banister (University of Manchester) and Dr Ben Kerrane (Lancaster University), which aims to investigate the experiences of men as they become fathers for the first time, and the impact of the Shared Parental Leave scheme.

We have a range of ‘Useful Resources’ designed to point you in the direction of links and resources to help support you in your fatherhood journey, and we also have a space where fathers can share their experiences of fatherhood.

Please contact us if you would like to know anything further about our research, or if you would like to take part in the study itself (we are keen to hear from as many fathers as possible – whether or not you are making use of the Shared Parental Leave or not).
